An insightful book that touches issues of spirituality and committment to being a Muslim, moreover describing the development of the Muslim character then a Muslim group movement. A great book for a study group because it touches issue that are even relavent to the American Muslim youth. A most straightforward book about the Muslim as an individual, how one has to reform oneself, as a unit of the Muslim Ummah, through ones personal responsibility of 1) Character development and 2) participation in an Islamic movement. The author challenges the readers to distinguish themselves from simply born Muslims by becoming more knowledgeable about Islam, the minimum tenets of which the author goes on to list.
